Art Instruction
Alan teaches regular watercolour classes in Cornwall. He teaches workshops and scheduled credit courses at St. Lawrence College, Brockville.
*Alan is also available for short term watercolour workshops.
All of Alan’s courses are designed for the intermediate and beginner. Every workshop follows the same teaching process; slowly developed paintings, with numerous demonstrations.

Watercolours for Beginners/Intermediates. A fond look at old barns.
June 7 and 8 - 30 Ways to Screw up a Painting!
Well, not really! But we will do a series of small watercolours and with each try to point out the traps and pitfalls that befall every watercolour painter.
June 21, and 22
Painting Outdoors - without getting sunburned, wet or frustrated!
An indoor watercolour weekend where we will paint a series of St. Lawrence scenes and display all the equipment, clothing and accesories available for real outdoor painting.
For 1000 Islands Summer School of the Arts:

A series of paintings drawn from popular Canadian river scenes.
July 14, 15 and 16 - Boats off Season.
A series of paintings all drawn from early spring boat yards. Including Alan’s simple technique for drawing boats.
